Dr. Albert Younas is an interdisciplinary scholar, researcher, educator, and author whose academic work spans the fields of sociology of religion, religious studies, migration studies, intercultural dialogue, social identity, globalization, and contemporary social issues. With extensive academic and professional experience across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, he has established a strong scholarly profile dedicated to examining the complex intersections of religion, society, culture, and human development in diverse global contexts.
He earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Religious Studies from the University of Salzburg, Austria, and is currently pursuing a second Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Sociology of Religion at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, where his research explores religion, social order, work, and globalization in the United Arab Emirates. He also serves as an Independent Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Erlangen–Nuremberg, Germany, conducting research on gender, religion, and social marginalization among the Khawaja Sira community in Pakistan. His international academic training has equipped him with a multidisciplinary perspective that integrates sociology, religious studies, migration research, social psychology, education, and cultural studies.
