We mandate that all research comply with international ethical standards, requiring integrity in data collection, respect for human or animal subjects, and full disclosure of potential conflicts of interest.
The International Review of Multidisciplinary Research (IRMR) is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of integrity in scholarly communication. We operate under the belief that research must be conducted with honesty, accountability, and respect for all stakeholders. Our policy is benchmarked against the standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE)
1. Author Responsibilities
Authors are the primary custodians of research integrity. By submitting to IRMR, authors agree to the following:
Originality & Accuracy: Work must be original and unpublished. Data must be represented accurately, providing sufficient methodological detail to allow for replication.
Ethical Conduct: Plagiarism, data fabrication, and falsification are strictly prohibited. All sources must be properly cited.
Authorship Integrity: All listed authors must have made a significant intellectual contribution. "Ghost" or "guest" authorship is strictly prohibited, and all co-authors must approve the final version.
Disclosures: Authors must declare any conflicts of interest (financial or otherwise) and disclose if the study is part of a larger, multiple-publication project.
Human & Animal Rights: Research involving human participants must provide evidence of Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee (IEC) approval and documented informed consent. Animal studies must adhere to internationally recognized institutional animal care and use guidelines.
2. Editor and Editorial Team Duties
The IRMR Editorial Board is committed to an unbiased, rigorous publication process:
Editorial Independence: Publication decisions are made solely based on scholarly merit, peer review outcomes, and alignment with the journal’s scope, free from any commercial or personal pressure.
Confidentiality: Editors maintain the strict confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
Due Diligence: Editors ensure a robust double-blind peer review process and are mandated to investigate all ethical concerns according to established COPE flowcharts.
Ethical Accountability: The editorial team holds the right to retract or correct articles transparently if misconduct or errors are discovered. Editors are strictly forbidden from using submitted materials for their own research without the explicit, written consent of the authors.
3. Reviewer Obligations
Peer reviewers act as the gatekeepers of scientific quality. Their responsibilities include:
Objectivity & Expertise: Reviewers provide objective, constructive feedback based on their professional expertise.
Confidentiality: Manuscripts are treated as privileged documents; reviewers must not discuss or use the content for personal gain.
Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline assignments if they have personal, professional, or financial ties to the research or authors.
Reporting Misconduct: Reviewers are expected to report suspected plagiarism, ethical breaches, or data irregularities to the editorial team immediately.
4. Publisher Role
Vertex International Research and Consultancy Corp. provides the necessary infrastructure to support ethical publishing:
Institutional Support: The publisher guarantees editorial independence and provides the tools for long-term archiving via GitHub, CrossRef, and HAL Open Science.
Enforcement: The publisher maintains clear, transparent policies for corrections and retractions.
Sanctions: In cases of confirmed ethical violations, the journal reserves the right to impose sanctions ranging from formal warnings to permanent publication bans. All investigations into misconduct are conducted in strict accordance with COPE procedures.
Effective June 1, 2026, this policy ensures that IRMR remains a trusted, transparent, and high-integrity venue for multidisciplinary research.
