Establish a mandatory protocol requiring authors to finalize all institutional and authorial details during the screening phase to ensure accurate indexing.
The International Review of Multidisciplinary Research (IRMR) mandates the absolute precision of manuscript metadata to ensure accurate indexing, discoverability, and bibliographic attribution. As an international scholarly entity, the IRMR requires that all authors treat the metadata declaration phase as a binding administrative commitment.
These guidelines establish the technical and ethical requirements for the submission and verification of manuscript metadata, effective June 1, 2026.
1. The Primacy of Metadata Integrity
Metadata—comprising author identities, institutional affiliations, and contact information—is the foundation of the digital scholarly record. Because this data directly informs DOI registration via Crossref and subsequent inclusion in global indexing bodies, the IRMR enforces a strict "Finality of Declaration" policy.
Data Finalization: Authors are required to verify the orthography of names, the formal nomenclature of institutions, and the validity of email addresses during the initial screening phase.
Irrevocability: Once the Metadata Acknowledgement Form is signed and the manuscript is accepted, the journal prohibits any subsequent modification, addition, or removal of metadata. This ensures that the publication record remains stable, reproducible, and compliant with international archival standards.
2. Technical Metadata Requirements
Authors must ensure that all entries in the Metadata Acknowledgement Form meet the following technical specifications:
Authorial Attribution: Names must be provided in their formal, full-length format to ensure consistency across academic databases.
Institutional Mapping: Affiliations must be stated in accordance with the institution's official naming conventions to facilitate accurate institutional research output tracking.
Communication Channels: Institutional email addresses are required to verify the bona fide status of the authors.
Persistent Identifiers: While not strictly mandated, the provision of ORCID iDs is highly encouraged to resolve author ambiguity and ensure precise, long-term attribution of scholarly contributions.
3. Administrative Workflow and Compliance
The IRMR administrative process is structured to prioritize accuracy over speed. Authors must acknowledge that:
Scope of Journal Contribution: The journal’s editorial role is confined to the formatting, template application, and production of the manuscript; the journal does not assume responsibility for the substantive accuracy of the research content.
Authorial Accountability: By signing the declaration, authors accept full liability for the veracity of their content and affirm that the manuscript represents their own intellectual work.
Revision Constraints: Should substantive changes to the manuscript content be required, such alterations are limited strictly to the research text and must undergo a formal, new revision process; metadata cannot be altered as part of these revisions.
4. Ethical Declarations
The Metadata Acknowledgement Form serves as a legal and ethical affirmation. Authors must certify that:
All provided metadata is true and correct to the best of the authors' knowledge.
The authors agree to comply with all established policies and regulations governing the IRMR and the publishing company, Vertex International Research and Consultancy Corp.
The addition or removal of authors post-acceptance is strictly prohibited, as it undermines the integrity of the authorship contribution record.
Effective June 1, 2026, these guidelines ensure that the IRMR maintains a professional, high-integrity platform where scholarly contributions are correctly attributed and discoverable within the global knowledge commons.
