IRMR employs a systematic, rigorous publication workflow designed to uphold scholarly integrity and ensure global discoverability. The process is divided into five distinct phases as shown in the image and explained below.
Phase 0: Submission
Article Submission. The author initiates the process by submitting their manuscript through the official website.
Acknowledgment and Documentation. Upon receipt, the Communications Officer sends an acknowledgment email containing the Author’s Declaration Form.
Prerequisite for Phase 1. The official "Day 1" of the processing timeline commences only once the Communications Officer has received the signed Author’s Declaration Form and confirmed the submission acknowledgment.
Phase 1: Screening
Technical Audit. The manuscript undergoes a comprehensive screening process, including a template check, plagiarism analysis, AI detection, and a thorough assessment of grammar and writing quality.
Metadata Validation. The editorial team conducts an initial review of metadata tags to ensure accuracy.
Technical Decision. The team issues a decision regarding the article's readiness for evaluation.
Pre Print. For initially accepted articles, the article is uploaded in a Pre Print Server while waiting for the final decision of the Peer Reviewers.
Prerequisite. A successfully revised article must be approved, Initial Payment for Pre Print Services, and Signed Meta Data Acknowledgement Form before advancing to Phase 2.
Phase 2: Evaluation
Peer Review. The manuscript is endorsed for a rigorous double-blind peer review.
Deliberation. Reviewers assess the work, followed by the Editorial Board’s final decision.
Finalization. Once accepted, the author receives an email confirmation, full payment details, and instructions to submit a screenshot of the payment transaction.
Phase 3: Administrative
Agreement Procedures. The author is notified of the required legal documentation.
Execution. The author must complete and submit the official Agreement Forms.
Prerequisite. Phase 4 begins only after the editorial team verifies the receipt of correctly formatted, signed Agreement Forms, which must include a working, public link for author/research photos.
Phase 4: Production
Refinement. The editorial team performs final copy editing, followed by the author's review of the "publishable version" of the manuscript.
Finalization. The article undergoes a final edit to ensure it meets all indexing standards.
Indexing and Publication. The journal assigns a DOI (Crossref) and publishes the article on the official OJS website.
Dissemination. The journal issues the Certificate of Publication, sends a Letter of Publication, and creates official social media postings.
Archiving. The publishable article is endorsed to the author for HAL Open Science upload and subsequently uploaded to the Internet Archive, followed by a final Notice of Publication.
