Prof. Ma. Ymelda C. Batalla is a computer science educator, information technology researcher, and academic leader with extensive experience in higher education, research, and curriculum development. Prof. Batalla earned her Bachelor of Computer Science and Master in Information Technology from the Technological University of the Philippines. Throughout her academic career, she has continuously strengthened her expertise through professional certifications and specialized training in information technology, digital competencies, and higher education instruction. Her interdisciplinary background has enabled her to bridge theoretical foundations with practical applications in computing and information systems.
She currently serves as an Assistant Professor IV at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines–Santa Rosa Campus, where she teaches computer science and information technology courses while mentoring undergraduate researchers and supervising academic projects.
