Dr. Jovelle Agcaoili Gauiran, EdD, LPT is a Filipino educator, researcher, author, and social science specialist with expertise in social studies education, political science, curriculum development, and educational research. He currently serves as Instructor III at the College of Arts and Sciences of Nueva Vizcaya State University–Bambang Campus, where he also serves as the College Instruction and Curriculum Development Coordinator and Affiliate Graduate School Faculty Member of the College of Teacher Education. Prior to joining the university, he served as a Senior High School faculty member at Saint Mary's University and as Teacher I to Teacher III in the Department of Education, demonstrating extensive experience in both basic and higher education.
Dr. Gauiran earned his Doctor of Education from Northeastern College, Inc. and his Master of Arts in Education, major in Social Science, from Isabela State University. He completed his Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in Social Studies, with a Certificate in Religious Education (CREED) from Saint Mary's University, where he received the Academic Distinction Award. To further broaden his expertise in regional studies and international affairs, he is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate in ASEAN Studies at the University of the Philippines Open University.
As an active researcher and author, Dr. Gauiran has published peer-reviewed research in international journals focusing on public administration, political science, governance, student leadership, and civic engagement. His studies examine topics such as competency readiness for government service and the political orientations of student leaders, contributing to evidence-based policy and educational practice. He is also the author of the scholarly book Student Leaders as Political Actors: Leadership Styles and Attitudes, reflecting his research interests in leadership, political participation, and youth development. In addition to his academic publications, he has authored several literary works published in national magazines, showcasing his contributions to both scholarly and creative writing.
Beyond research publication, Dr. Gauiran contributes to the academic community as a peer reviewer for several international journals, including the International Journal of Advanced Multidisciplinary Studies (IJAMS), the International Journal of Research and Innovation in Social Science (IJRISS), and the Journal of Interdisciplinary Perspectives (JIP). He also serves as a book and journal reviewer for Binas Publishing and is an active member of professional organizations, including the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP), the Philippine Historical Association, the Philippine Children Research Network, and the National Book Development Board of the Philippines as a registered author.
