Dr. Jeannilyn P. Orating, DBA, CMP is a Filipino educator, researcher, and business management professional with extensive experience in higher education, academic administration, operations management, and marketing. She currently serves as Assistant Professor IV at One Cainta College, where she previously held key leadership positions as Program Chair of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and Director of the Institute of Technology. Throughout her academic career, she has been actively engaged in curriculum development, student mentoring, institutional research, and quality academic administration.
Dr. Orating earned her Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA and completed her Master of Business Administration at Jose Rizal University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Marketing, from Far Eastern University. Her academic training has provided her with a strong foundation in business management, entrepreneurship, marketing, and organizational leadership, enabling her to bridge industry practices with higher education.
As an emerging researcher, Dr. Orating has contributed to the fields of entrepreneurship, sustainability, and business education. Her published research, "Sustainability Challenges and Business Discontinuity Among Micro and Small Enterprises in Cainta, Rizal: Basis for Sustainable Business Development Framework," examines the challenges faced by small enterprises and proposes strategies for sustainable business development. She has also conducted institutional research on the entrepreneurial spirit and skills of business students, demonstrating her commitment to strengthening entrepreneurship education through evidence-based practices.
Beyond research, Dr. Orating actively participates in academic and professional engagements as a resource speaker and peer reviewer. She has delivered lectures on professional ethics, workplace intelligence, and gender equality while serving as a peer reviewer for the International Journal of Research on Multidisciplinary Studies (IJROMS). She is likewise an active member of several professional organizations, including the Professional Organization of Researchers and Educators of the Philippines (POREP), the Educators Research and Innovation Organization (ERIO), the Philippine Association of Collegiate Schools of Business (PACSB), the World Association of Educators, Researchers, and Authors (WAERA), and the World Council for Curriculum and Instruction (WCCI), Philippine Chapter.
Complementing her academic and research accomplishments, Prof. Orating holds several professional certifications, including Certified Marketing Professional, Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Trainers Methodology Certificate I, and Events Management NC III. Through her dedication to teaching, research, academic leadership, and community engagement, she continues to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business practices while contributing to the advancement of higher education in the Philippines.
