Diamaden T. Salinding Jr., MSChE, LChE is a Filipino chemical engineer, educator, and science instructor with expertise in chemical engineering, chemistry, mathematics, and STEM education. He currently serves as Junior Teacher 4 at the University of Santo Tomas – Senior High School, where he teaches General Inorganic Chemistry, Pre-Calculus, and Basic Calculus. Prior to joining the University of Santo Tomas, he served as an instructor at Far Eastern University – Institute of Technology, handling undergraduate courses in chemistry and mathematics while fostering students' analytical and scientific competencies.

Mr. Salinding earned his Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines Diliman as a scholar under the Department of Science and Technology's Engineering Research and Development for Technology (ERDT) Program. His master's thesis investigated the thermal, mechanical, and moisture absorption properties of lignocellulosic waste blended with unsaturated polyester, reflecting his interest in materials engineering and sustainable applications of agricultural waste. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology, where his plant design project focused on the production of activated carbon from waste corn cobs. He is also a Licensed Chemical Engineer, having successfully passed the Professional Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

As an educator, Mr. Salinding integrates engineering principles and scientific inquiry into his teaching, emphasizing the practical application of chemistry, mathematics, and problem-solving in STEM education. His technical expertise is further strengthened by his proficiency in laboratory instrumentation, including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and universal testing machines (UTM), enabling him to support laboratory-based instruction and scientific investigation.

Mr. Salinding remains committed to professional growth through active membership in several scientific and engineering organizations, including the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers – Metro Manila Academe Chapter, the Philippine Association of Physics and Science Instructors, and the Philippine Association of Chemistry Teachers. Through his dedication to teaching, engineering practice, and science education, he continues to contribute to the development of future professionals in engineering and the STEM disciplines.
