Dr. Dolores O. San Juan is a researcher, educator, and academic leader whose scholarly work has contributed significantly to the fields of development management, science education, inclusive education, environmental sustainability, and higher education research. With extensive experience in teaching, research administration, and academic leadership, she has championed research excellence and evidence-based practice within higher education institutions in the Philippines.
Dr. San Juan earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Development Management from Ateneo de Zamboanga University, a Master of Arts in Teaching major in Chemistry from the University of the Immaculate Conception, and a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Chemistry from Western Mindanao State University. Her interdisciplinary academic preparation has enabled her to pursue research that integrates education, social development, environmental responsibility, and institutional improvement.
She currently serves as a faculty member at the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences of Zamboanga Peninsula Polytechnic State University, where she also holds key research leadership positions, including Research Coordinator, former Head of the Research Publication Office, and former Director of the Research Facilitation Office. Through these roles, she has led institutional initiatives that strengthen research productivity, publication quality, and faculty engagement in scholarly inquiry.
As an active researcher, Dr. San Juan has authored and co-authored scholarly publications in national and international journals on topics including inclusive education, environmental sustainability, green marketing, educational assessment, public health, artificial intelligence in education, and science instruction. Her research has been recognized through several distinctions, including Best Paper, Best Paper Presenter, and Best Abstract awards at national and international research conferences. These accomplishments reflect the relevance and impact of her work in addressing contemporary educational and societal issues through interdisciplinary research.
Beyond research production, Dr. San Juan actively contributes to the global academic community as a peer reviewer for international scholarly journals, including the International Journal of Learning, Teaching, and Educational Research and Health Toxicology. She also serves as a reviewer for the Research and Scientific Innovation Society International Journals and has been invited as a resource speaker on research methodology, educational assessment, and research capacity building.
