Joseph L. Torres, MAEd-ELT is a Filipino educator, researcher, research mentor, and academic editor specializing in English language teaching, educational leadership, research management, and interdisciplinary education. He currently serves as an English and Research Teacher at Tanjay City Science High School, where he mentors student researchers and promotes evidence-based teaching and learning. Prior to this appointment, he served as an English and Research Teacher at Sto. Niño High School and began his academic career as an English teacher at Diaz College, demonstrating more than a decade of experience in language education and research instruction.
Mr. Torres is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Research Management and Development at the University of the Visayas. He earned his Master of Arts in Education, major in English Language Teaching, from St. Paul University Dumaguete and completed his Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English, graduating Cum Laude from Diaz College. His academic background has equipped him with expertise in English language education, research methodology, educational leadership, and scholarly publication.
As a prolific researcher, Mr. Torres has authored numerous scholarly publications in international peer-reviewed journals covering a wide range of topics, including English language teaching, educational leadership, research education, digital transformation, school governance, values education, inclusive education, and systematic literature reviews. His research contributes to advancing evidence-based educational practices and institutional improvement through interdisciplinary and innovative scholarly inquiry. He has also received recognition for his research excellence, including the Best Research Presenter Award, Best Abstract Award, and Most Innovative Research Award at international research conferences, as well as a Basic Education Research Fund (BERF) grant supporting his research initiatives.
