Adzfar A. Wahid, LPT, CePL, MAEd is a Filipino educator, researcher, academic administrator, and English language specialist with expertise in English language studies, curriculum development, research management, and higher education administration. He currently serves as Assistant Professor, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Arts in English Language Studies (BAELS), and Research Coordinator at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences of Universidad de Zamboanga. In these capacities, he oversees academic program implementation, curriculum mapping, faculty coordination, and departmental research while mentoring undergraduate students in academic writing and research.
Mr. Wahid earned his Master of Arts in Education, major in English Language Studies, from Universidad de Zamboanga. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy major in Curriculum and Supervision and has completed the academic requirements for the Master of Public Administration at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He also holds the Certified Paralegal (CePL) credential, providing him with additional expertise in policy analysis, legal compliance, and institutional governance. His multidisciplinary academic preparation enables him to integrate language education, educational leadership, and policy development into his professional practice.
As an active researcher and research coordinator, Mr. Wahid supervises undergraduate research projects, particularly those employing descriptive-correlational research designs and quantitative methodologies. He provides guidance in research methodology, academic writing, APA 7th edition formatting, data analysis, and the IMRAD structure while serving as a lead panelist and evaluator during research colloquia and thesis defenses. His scholarly interests include English language studies, curriculum and instruction, educational research, language teaching, and higher education quality assurance.
Beyond research supervision, Mr. Wahid plays a vital role in curriculum development and academic governance. He designs and aligns course syllabi with contemporary higher education standards, integrates educational technologies into instruction, and applies his paralegal training to ensure that departmental policies and student research adhere to institutional regulations and ethical standards. He also teaches specialized courses in psycholinguistics, multimodal communication, and English language teaching, contributing to the preparation of future language educators.
